SEVRES draws its name and sensibility from the porcelain produced in the Parisian suburb of Sèvres — by the late 18th century, the most refined ceramic work in Europe, and the standard against which all other decorative arts were measured. The design translates that standard of grace and ornament into a printed textile: flowering blossoms and curvaceous foliage fill the field in a densely layered composition that rewards proximity. On upholstery, the pattern's botanical density creates a richness of surface that reads as depth rather than mere decoration. On drapery, the flowing foliage takes on a vertical quality that amplifies the fabric movement. SEVRES is Fortuny's most explicitly European floral — rooted in the decorative traditions of the French grand siècle.

Designed with the italian touch, from start to finish. Built on the grounds of an ancient convent, the inner workings of the factory remain secret 100 years later. Our founder's will holds that the techniques used to create the iconic fabrics were never to be revealed publicly.
