Orfeo
Blue-green monotones with gold
5652
ORFEO draws its name from Mariano Fortuny’s home, Palazzo Pesaro degli Orfei (now the Museo Fortuny), in turn named for the mythological Orpheus, the ancient Greek musician, poet, and prophet whose music charmed both flora and fauna into dance. In Mariano Fortuny, the parallel is obvious: an artist who moved seamlessly between disciplines, whose work enchanted every material he touched. ORFEO's botanical design translates that spirit into a frolicking, layered field of foliage, forms in motion, filled with rhythm and vitality. Its botanical vocabulary is lush rather than formal, expressive rather than symmetrical. The jewel-toned colorways of aqua, coral, deep graphite, give ORFEO a richness that suits it equally to upholstery, drapery, cushions, and wall panels in rooms that welcome visual complexity.
