This week, Giuseppe sent us a photo of the Venetian Lagoon.
He even came up with a new name for our blog: “Instead of How High is the Water?, we can say How Thick is the Ice?”
Giuseppe explains, “The ice in the Lagoon of Venice is a very rare event. To become ice the water requires a temperature of -4/-6 Celsius or less for at least a week. The last time this happened was in 1985, but the most famous time that this happened was in 1929.”
No matter the weather, Venice is always full of magic.
