Over the years, we’ve seen our fabrics adorn walls, beds, sofas, tables and chairs, whether it was through flowing curtains, decorative pillows, or impeccable upholstery. But what about candles, plates, and bowls? As featured in the September issue of Architectural Digest, in an article entitled “Pattern Play,” Mariano Fortuny’s famous designs can next be seen in the new L’Objet pour Fortuny collection.
Designer Elad Yifrach, the founder of L'Objet, collaborated with us and spent countless hours working with his team and studying which Fortuny patterns would appear best on a new collection of luxury items for the home. The time was well spent! The collection strikes the challenging balance between sophisticated and fun, and between elegant and playful, including fabric-covered boxes, sculpted picture frames, porcelain candles recalling the famous pleated silk dresses, and luxurious dinnerware. From carafes and digestive tumblers detailed with the geometric shapes of Rabat to assorted plates and bowls in beloved patterns such as Richelieu and Piumette, Fortuny's timeless designs take on a new life.
For the perfect gift, or to make these creations a part of your home, look for them at Bergdorf Goodman starting August 15 and, beginning September 1, at Neiman Marcus.
